RYA Beijing
http://www.rya.org.uk/beijing2008
The two key objectives in the creative brief were to create an on-brand look and feel, and to position this division of the RYA in a dynamic manner for a more youthful audience. We used typically British blues and reds and paid attention to specific brand techniques such as the blue dividing strip with red highlight. Our approach to the design had to be forward thinking, providing a basis for the main RYA website redesign due later this year.
By introducing a large, hard hitting background to the design we gave a contemporary ‘splash’ theme that sets a modern and youthful style to this SharePoint portal site, and which the client loved instantly, but which was not too abstract as befitting of the organisation’s authoritative status. Red highlights are used to draw attention to particular zones, and provide visual interest.

Bandai UK
http://www.bandai.co.uk
Bandai has been a client of Design Haus since 2005, when we were commissioned to design and develop an e-commerce web presence for this global brand here in the UK. Over the years we have worked closely with Bandai to grow and develop the website and its web presence. The latest release of the Bandai website builds firmly on a style and technique Design Haus introduced from its very first release.
The main considerations taken into account whilst planning and implementing this project:
• Design (Fresh new design, keeping the web site new , relevant and brand focused)
• Media (Greater access to video and other media throughout the website)
• Usability (How we could further enhance the user experience)
• Build Technologies (Complete CSS driven, table-less rebuild)
• Technical (Implementation of new business logic)

School Of Ministries
http://www.schoolofministries.org
School of Ministries (SOM) came to us with the clear objective of re-branding their organisation which needed to meet all their objectives, those being; More appealing to the church leaders (funders) user group rather than the end beneficiaries (the students). The new logo needed to hold similarities to the old logo so current suppliers & stake holders still recognised SOM. Also the logo needed fresher colours and a more traditional church feel hence the purples and light green shades.
The final objective was to position SOM as a global charity that can reach any areas of the globe sos not to alienate those funders wishing to send SOM to a particular location in mind.
Once the branding was agreed to the website project could start, this incorporated clear calls-to-action – those being ‘donations online’, newsletter sign-ups and several specific ‘online form emailing systems’. We made sure the site had up-to-date information, blog integration (‘reports’), annual programmes and full course information, along with charity background details.
The branding, this branding was again followed through to all the Microsoft templates to be used in-house, business cards, letterheads and even a branded email newsletter.

Skin Care Inc
http://www.skincareinc.co.uk
The clients brand was respected with consistent use of ‘colours and typography’ yet strengthen by accentuating the elegant lines from their logo into the top navigation.
We even chose to add that little extra polish to the product photography at ‘detail page level’ by showing both large and small scale photos to enhance the appeal and attraction of all the products for sale; thus presenting a normally bland bottle in an interesting fashion. |
Atlantic Charters
http://www.atlanticcharters.co.uk
Atlantic Charters Racing aim is to encourage novices and experienced sailors alike to join in the exciting world of yacht racing.
Features:
By providing a boxing layout technique we were able to allow the dark background colour to flow and therefore air the design providing a more open outdoors unconstrained feel supporting our client’s service of yacht charters.
We also brought the branding more inline with Atlantic Charters new business plan of positioning them in the more youthful market. We accomplished this with adding fun, exciting white water splashes into the top right corner and footer, injecting lighter shades of sea blues and sourced a few more engaging photographs for them.

Flying Jacket
http://www.flying-jacket.com
Moto Lita has been a client of our for many many years now and Aviation Leathercraft (http://www.flying-jacket.com) is a division of Moto-Lita, the now famous British steering wheel company founded in 1956. Caroline, our client came to us yet again, this time with the challenge of improving the sales of her tailored genuine Irvin flying jacket among other items.
Some of the key highlights of the site were re-branding this division of the company without losing the core logo elements. We achieved this with a colour palette that reflected these quality, luxurious, high value products more accurately. We also added more detailed content that would appeal to the typical enthusiast customer base. This digital branding was then following through to the offline print design work we created with magazine adverts, signs etc. Sales rocketed instantly, followed by excellent client feedback and we are now in discussions over future additional phases for improvements.

Maxim Recruitment
www.maximrecruitment.co.uk
Maxim Recruitment specializes in quantity surveying jobs, construction site manager and project management jobs in building construction, civil engineering contracting and cost consulting
Features:
After a vigorous high level envisioning phase to the project we provided Maxim Recruitment with a variety of ideas for the future development of their online strategy. This proved to be a great starting point for the Maxim Recruitment account which we hope will grow over many years to come.
We started with our design process and the first port of call was marketing collateral. We created a more diverse yet accurate photography collection to feed the on and offline marketing. Print materials were also supplied for in-house use including sales sheets and database friendly word templates.
Adding to this, We made the site more accessible and search engine friendly by giving the site a CSS tableless re-build with removal of asp post backs while remaining contribute friendly. The site also takes advantage of sIFR technology to add rich typography into web pages without sacrificing accessibility, search engine friendliness, or markup semantics.
We all have our fingers crossed for Steve at Maxim to gain a local award this year.

Good Safari Guide
www.thegoodsafariguide.com
The brief & key features:
The design needed to reflect an almost exclusive feel as the only way to get into the guide is by several referrals and a thorough on-site check.
We had full freedom with colour and photography and chose to build a brand that would work offline too. Warm, inviting and typically African colours were chosen that would support this rare service along with photography that instantly demonstrates the offerings working at their best.
Adding to this, we needed to create a website that would have the potential for rapid further developments in a phase 2 project. Therefore the design was split into regions to allow us to move elements around freely between real estate and differing pages without loosing the integrity of the design.
Features:
Branding, CSS build and online nominations functionality

King Edward VI School Southampton

Elements of the online brand are also now finding there way into offline marketing materials. We are really excited to continue working with the school.
Features:
The King Edward School site is heavily integrated into various 3rd party intranet systems. We had to ensure that these many systems could feed information into the site via XML technologies and others.

Symphony leadership and team development
www.symphonyteambuilding.co.uk
Symphony are a small business nestled away in the Hamble near Southampton. Dave from Symphony came to us requiring a new website that would replace his old flash built website, allowing it to be search engine friendly, clean and simple. Symphony had little in the way of identity - so we worked on one that would compliment his exciting, high performance service.
Therefore we worked on a colour pallet that included sea blues and one bold power colour such as yellow. This was then built on with modern typography and a little querky fun seen in the 2 lines found in the logo resembling a orchestra conductor/yacht shape.
