Google, Yahoo, MSN and Ask.com together account for 96.6% of UK internet searches but Google is by far the most dominant search engine in the UK. Googles share of the market has been rising steadily up 3% in the past six months and up 9% year on year to take a market share of 77.8% of all internet searches happening within the UK.
Yahoo ranking in at number 2 powered only 7.7%. It is important to note that Yahoo's search market share has risen by 4% over the last six months though.

Earlier this week we launched another ecommerce site for Cluson Engineering. Cluson make the most fantastic range of Torches and Lamps As with all our projects this site was built using a customized CMS back end and not an off the shelf solution! PPC and Natural
Today was another land mark day for one of our clients, after a year of natural optimization on their site Chocolate Fountain Heaven we finally hit the pause button on all their PPC advertising.
As with all clients that hire us for our online marketing skills we always preach both Pay Per Click and natural site optimization.
Most of their money keywords such as - chocolate fountain hire - come up number 1. In a lot of cases its sometimes wise to leave a limited amount of PPC running, but in this case it had no effect on the conversions.
Ideally this is something that we would like all our clients to work on and invest it. It really does work, but is no longer an overnight quick fix.
We get really excited about our clients online success.
