Local IT services company ITSE Ltd was recently approached by one of their existing clients, Acolyte Biomedica, to set up a Virtual Data Room to enable them to share sensitive documents with prospective buyers. They required a secure area available on line where they would be able to upload information about the business so the prospective bidders, some based thousands of miles away, could decide whether or not to proceed with their purchase. As their existing IT services provider, ITSE was asked to come up with a solution. Dr Tim Coombs, Chairman of Acolyte adds, We had a quick look at potential solutions from Virtual Data Room specialists in London but they all looked very expensive and could not respond to our needs quickly enough. So we approached ITSE who are always very prompt to react to our requests to see if they could help. They quickly found us a solution through a partner of theirs, Design Haus in Hythe. Their solution was not only cheaper but delivered within the very tight timescale that we had requested. We were very impressed.
Tom Frame, Managing Director of Design Haus, adds, The solution we put in place enabled Acolyte to quickly upload all of their required documents to a secure area on one of our servers so the prospective bidders could view them on line via a secure logon from any computer on the web. We were even able to track who had viewed each document. All of this work was done remotely without any face to face meetings being required, saving time and costs.
